hillarygayleThis is the pile of carpet & carpet padding removed from the house. Accomplished yesterday:
• carpet removed
• carpet strips taken up (courtesy of me, Ty, & crowbars!)
• wallpaper gone
• kitchen removed
• kitchen replaced in new configuration
• resulting hole in ceiling patched, sanded, & popcorn textured
• countertops removed
• countertops replaced
• all faucet fixtures removed & replaced
• all carpet staples removed from floor
• ceiling light fixtures reinforced from inside the attic so they'll support ceiling fans
• paint purchased
• ceilings painted in all but the den
• ceilings cut in inside den (meaning they've been painted 4 inches in from the wall so they can be completed today)
• bookcases removed from den & reassembled in garage for storage
And a thousand other things that I didn't realize had been done, I'm sure. Lots of progress photos to be posted when I have a good Internet connection again. Today, more painting!
