But then something okay happened

After the morning went suckily & we missed church, we messed around all afternoon doing nothing. I took a nap about part way through the afternoon, waking up in time to go to Casa Maya for Courtney's surprise birthday party.
I'd been looking for some relatively authentic Mexican in town, as opposed to tex-mex. I really like tex-mex, but sometimes I want Mexican. Casa Maya may be my new go-to place. Their tacos al carne asada were really good; so good that next time I may order the tacos al pastor. As I was paying my check, I noticed a fountain drink cooler behind the counter.
"Aw, man, is that horchata?!" I'd totally forgotten my local minions went on a hunt & found me some horchata at Casa Maya. "I would've ordered that if I knew you had it!"
"Here, let me get you some!" said the guy at the counter. "It's the best in town." He did, then wouldn't let me pay for it. I LOVE HORCHATA. It was yum.
Then I came home & had a fuzzy navel, made with Simply Orange juice with mango. So thanks to a nice Hispanic dude & some peach schnapps & OJ, this day was not a total loss.
