Still not crying...

It's Olga day so I'm out & about.
Having eaten about a third of a stack of huge, fat chocolate chip pancakes, I came here to the library. As we are still financially anemic until I get paid on October 10th, I try not to spend more money than necessary when I'm out. The public library is my favorite place to sit and either read or play around on the internet until Olga finishes. I prefer the study rooms, but they were both taken this morning, so I went for the tables by the large windows in the front so I could get a little sunshine and play around on my iPad. This is a perilous spot though. If I'm going to be approached anywhere in the library, it's here. Alas, I should've worn the bitchy gray lipstick this morning instead of the friendly glittery red.
I had no more sat down and gotten my iPad out when it happened. My favorite spot is with my back to a brick partial-wall that divides one lounging/reading area from another. I was untangling my headphones, vaguely aware of a very loud woman in a motorized wheelchair speaking to someone by one of the other windows in front of me. I didn't give it a second thought until she appeared from BEHIND the brick wall behind me (how did she even get there without passing by me going the other way? IT IS A MYSTERY.), braked her chair to a jerky stop, and addressed me loudly.
Lady: HEY I THOUGHT I SAW YOU CRYING SO I THOUGHT I WOULD COME CHECK ON YOU BECAUSE YOU WERE CRYING. WERE YOU CRYING?
Me: *startled* ...No.
Lady: I THOUGHT I SAW YOU CRYING. YOU WEREN'T CRYING?
Me: *firmly now* No.
Lady: OH WELL I THOUGHT I SAW YOU WERE CRYING AND I HAD TO COME CHECK ON YOU BECAUSE THAT'S HOW I AM IF THERE IS SOMEONE CRYING I'VE GOTTA TAKE CARE OF THEM BECAUSE THAT'S THE WAY I AM.
Me: Thank you, but no. I was definitely not crying.
Lady: OKAY THEN! *wheels off*
Awkward.
